Tales of Whimsy and Wonder, Vol. 1
Once upon a time, in a magical school, there studied a class of Alpacas. The Alpacas are a special breed of learner, with a contagious curiosity for facts. Under the didactic instruction of Ms. Lindsay our Alpacas studied the creatures of lore, from mermaids to werewolves, phoenixes and more, and spent the past 5 months creating these incredible stories for you! Enter the world of our students' imaginations as you travel through realms, worlds and galaxies!

This magical school is Literacy and Mathematics Academy, where even the magical, mythological, mystical and mysterious has a place in the hallowed halls of LAMA! Under the instruction of Ms. Beth and the support of Ms. Katherine, Ms. Lindsay and Mr. Ola, our students let their imaginations run wild. From supercops, dragons, superheroes, mini memoirs, and more, these stories will transport you into the world of our students' imaginations.

Tales of Whimsy and Wonder Vol. 2 contains a collection of short stories created in our Alpaca Writing class during the 2024/2025 school year. This publication was a community wide endeavour, with Mr. Nick and Ms. Nicole working with Ms. Beth, Ms. Katherine, Mr. Ola, Ms. Lindsay, Mr. Chase and Ms. Stephanie and our students to bring their vision to life.

Where in the World Are the LAMA Students?
At a school called LAMA, a year-long mission has been unfolding. The Agents (our students) have been on the hunt for Llama Santiago, a most elusive figure. Through clever missions assigned by Lieutenant Latitude (Ms. Paula), the Agents followed his trail across the globe, learning about cultures, languages, and landscapes. Now it's the Agents' turn to vanish! Piece together their destinations by decoding the clues hidden in the postcards they've sent back.
About the Class
"Where in the World Are the LAMA Students?" is the culminating task from our "Where in the World is Llama Santiago" class that Ms. Emilie created and Ms. Paula (or should we say Lt. Latitude) brought to life.

Dark World is an anthology of short stories written by our Vicuna class during their morning journal work. These students, ranging from grades 6 to 8, dove into their own imaginations to give you dark, diverse, daring, and delightful tales on a range of topics. LAMA-national Journal of Scientific Criticism
From Ice Age Mammoths to Dark Energy within our Galaxies, this publication contains conference proceedings from the Winter and Spring 2025 Symposiums held at Literacy And Mathematics Academy. Our students each selected an article of interest from "Science Journal for Kids", an organization that provides youth-accessible peer-reviewed scientific articles, and wrote expository essays aimed to answer whether the question posed by their selected article was effectively answered.

My name is Darcy and I am 7 years old! I really like the Cambrian period. I love Vaquitas, the smallest porpoise, which is critically endangered. I have a guinea pig named Snuggles and a sister named Lauren, and they inspired the names of the places that Lystry lived in my book. This is my second book. I hope you love reading my book series that is educational and fun!

I am a big fan of humans because there were different kinds of humans; Homo habilis is my favourite because they made interesting tools for digging. The character of Applejack was based on a real pony she started her riding lessons with; the book was written in his memory.

Henry Deans is one of LAMA's most prolific young illustrators. He brings other students' stories to life with bold, dynamic drawings, working across both picture books and chapter books. In his spare time Henry loves drawing and spending time with his family and his dog, Snickers.
